How to use the phone

Answering a Call
The Ringer sounds and the Incoming Illuminator flashes when receiving a call.
It works in accordance with the settings when the Manner Mode is set to ON. See page 28.
Press during incoming call and answer it.
Press to hang up.

Use the - to enter the
receiver's phone number and

Press to hang up.
• Placing a call to a landline telephone
Enter the phone number starting with the area code.
• Placing a call to a mobile phone, car phone, or PHS
Always enter the whole (11-digit) phone number.
• How to Place a Call
Add "184" before the phone number: Your phone number is not displayed for the receiver.
Add "186" before the phone number: Your phone number is displayed for the receiver.
Add nothing:
The call is placed in accordance with the Number
Notice (Caller ID) setting.
Press ( Add ) to add 184 or 186.

Placing a Call
Dial the phone number to place a call.

The caller's phone number
Example: "0900002XXXX"
"ID Unsent"
"Payphone"
"Not Support"
The caller has set the phone number to be displayed. The caller's name is
also displayed if the caller's information is registered in your Address Book.
The caller has set the phone number not to be displayed.
The call is placed from a payphone.
The call is placed from a phone that does not support ID notification.
Screen display if the call is not answered
The message shows that there were unanswered incoming
calls when you could not answer the call. Press
(
Confirm
) and (
ＯＫ
) on that screen to confirm the
caller's phone number and call back. See page 23.
