RECUPERATION BREAK (THUMB BREAK)
The recuperation brake is always used first, as it returns the braking energy to battery charge, thus
extending the range. For this reason, this brake must always be used when other brakes are also used.
It is activated by pressing the thumb lever (2.).
MECHANICAL BREAK (PEDAL BREAK)
The Mechanical Brake is activated by the step of the foot and thus slows down the tyre. It may only
be used in combination with the recuperation brake.
DRUM BREAK (HAND BREAK)
The drum brake is activated by operating the red handle. As it is attached to the front wheel, it must
always be used with extreme caution and only in the event of emergency braking. It must only be
used in conjunction with the recuperative brake.
Before starting to ride, check that the drum brake cable is sufficiently tightened by pressing the
brake lever. Turning the screw out to the left shortens the brake cable and changes the pressure
point on the brake lever. After you have turned the screw further to the left, you have to lock it with
the locknut to fix the tensioning screw.
The drum brake must be adjusted regularly.
If you can no longer achieve any braking effect by readjusting the screw on the brake lever, the
brake shoes must be replaced.
