After calling up the menu you will see the
following on-screen display:
The
buttons allow you to select
different sets of parameters for the search.
Satellite
Use the
buttons to select the satellite on which the transponder you want to scan is located.
Make sure your reception system is aligned to this satellite. If you want to search several transponders
on one satellite, you should start an automatic search of the transmitting satellite.
Transponder Frequency
Use the
buttons (transponder frequency already saved) or the number pad (transponder
frequency not yet saved) to select the transponder frequency on which the channel being sought is
transmitted. At the bottom right of the screen display, the receiver shows the current signal strength and
signal quality of the selected transponder.
The “Polarisation” and “Symbol Rate” options only need to be speci
fi
ed if the transponder has
yet to be saved.
Polarisation
Press the
buttons to select the correct polarisation (horizontal or vertical).
Symbol Rate
Use the number pad to enter the corresponding symbol rate.
Channel Search Mode
Use the
buttons to select the type of channels that are to be searched for. You have three
options:
- “free and scrambled”
All channels are searched for
- “free channels only”
Only free-to-air channels are searched for
In this menu you can selectively search
a transponder for the new channels.
