6.
MAINTENANCE, SUGGESTIONS AND WHEELCHAIR STORAGE
6.1
WARNING
Repair and Maintenance
Unless instructed otherwise, all maintenance and adjustments must be
done on an empty chair.
6.2
Paint Job
Clean the chair’s paint job with mild soap or mild detergent with water, using a cloth,
sponge or non-abrasive brush
.
6.3
Recommendations
•
Dry the chair if damp, or as soon as you are done cleaning.
•
Avoid exposure to humidity.
•
Remove residue (food and/or biological) as soon as possible, do not wait until
regular cleaning day.
•
If a sick person is contagious: disinfect the seat, armrests, backrest and any
other surfaces daily by spraying them with a disinfectant. Do not rinse or wipe
down, allow to dry.
•
If you wish to clean the fabric, this can be done by removing the fabric from the
frame using the reverse method as described in section 3.1 of this user manual.
•
Do not clean with a strong detergent or diluting substances. Use a mild,
alcohol-free detergent instead.
6.4
Storage
•
Wheelchair must be stored in a clean and dry environment.
•
If the wheelchair has been in storage for over (3) three months, perform annual
routine checks before operating as outlined in section 4.1 of this user manual.
6.5
Adjustments
•
To adjust disc brakes, consult the technical data sheet or a professional to
ensure proper tension and performance.
•
Ensure the front bearing system turns properly and holds the fork in place.
