CHARGING AND FUELING THE VEHICLE
The fuel tank pressure will need to equalize
with atmosphere, allow up to 60 seconds
for the fuel filler cover to open from the
time the fuel filler cover release button is
initially pressed.
A strap secures the fuel filler cap to the
vehicle to prevent loss. A holder is provided
on the door to store the cap while refueling.
When replacing the fuel filler cap,
tighten it until it clicks three times.
Failure to do so may cause the
“check gas cap” as well as the “check
engine” indicator icons to illuminate as a
result of increased evaporative emission
levels.
If this happens, ensure the fuel cap is
unobstructed and tightened properly
(three clicks) and the fuel door is latched.
The generator must run to enable the total
range to update.
If for some reason, the vehicle is refueled
and has a full charge, the generator will not
engage. The vehicle will run in STEALTH
Mode until the battery has lost sufficient
charge to allow the generator energy to
flow to it.
The fuel gauge will display 100% full, until
the generator runs and recalculates.
In a partial refuel event, the display will
show a complete fill until the generator is
commanded on, or when the conditions are
correct and the generator engages.
