STARTING AND DRIVING
Note:
Cruise control will only be resumed if
the vehicle’s speed is more than 20 mph
(32 km/h).
CHANGING THE CRUISING SPEED
The vehicle’s set cruising speed can be
adjusted as follows:
•
To decrease the set speed, press and
hold the thumb wheel to the left
•
To decrease the speed in smaller
increments, move the thumb wheel to
the left and release. Each operation of
the thumb wheel will decrease the
speed by 1 mph (2 km/h)
•
To increase the set speed, press and
hold the thumb wheel to the right
•
To increase the speed in smaller
increments, move the thumb wheel to
the right and release. Each operation of
the thumb wheel will increase the speed
by 1 mph (2 km/h)
ELECTRONIC STABILITY
CONTROL (ESC)
WARNING:
No electronic system can
remove the need for safe driving
practices. Although Electronic Stability
Control can help to maintain control of the
vehicle, it cannot prevent any accident that
may result from the vehicle turning at too
high a speed or from careless/dangerous
driving techniques.
When the ESC system is
operating the indicator light on
the instrument panel will flash to
indicate it is in use.
TURNING OFF ESC
To turn ESC off, press:

Note:
The current ESC setting will display
on the Electronic Stability Control tab.
The ESC OFF indicator light will
illuminate on the instrument
panel.
PARKING BRAKE
APPLYING THE PARKING BRAKE
With the vehicle stationary, with your foot
on the brake pedal, pull the switch (as
indicated above) to apply the parking
brake.
The indicator light will
illuminate.
Note:
If the lever is operated
while the vehicle is traveling, the parking
brake will be fully applied. The brake lights
will not illuminate. This function works even
when the vehicle is shut off.
RELEASING THE PARKING BRAKE
With your foot on the brake pedal, push the
switch to release the parking brake.
The indicator light on the instrument panel
will turn off.
The indicator on the instrument panel
should illuminate when the parking brake is
engaged.
