STARTING AND DRIVING
With the vehicle in Ready Mode, press the
required button to select a propulsion.
•
Park [P]
With Park [P] engaged, the propulsion
unit is locked and the rear wheels
cannot turn.
To select another mode when the
vehicle is in Park, the vehicle must be in
Ready Mode and the brake pedal
depressed.
Note:
Park [P] is automatically engaged
whenever a charging cable is connected
to the charging port to prevent the
vehicle being accidentally driven while
still connected.
•
Reverse [R]
Selectable whenever the vehicle is
stationary or its forward speed is less
than 3 mph (4.8 km/h).
•
Neutral [N]
In Neutral the propulsion unit is not
locked.
To select another mode when the
vehicle is in Neutral [N] and moving at a
speed less than 5 mph (8 km/h), you
must apply the brake pedal. At speeds
above 30 mph (48 km/h), you can only
select the drive mode suitable for the
current direction of travel.
•
Drive [D]
Selectable whenever the vehicle is
stationary or its speed is less than
30 mph (48 km/h) in reverse.
The instrument panel will show the
currently selected propulsion, and the
button associated with the selection will
also illuminate.
DRIVE MODES
WARNING:
It is recommended that
you do not use SPORT Mode on
surfaces covered in snow or ice as this
could adversely affect vehicle handling.
STEALTH, SUSTAIN, AND SPORT
MODES
To change between STEALTH, SUSTAIN,
and SPORT Modes, briefly pull the left-
hand paddle towards you and release. Pull
and release the paddle again to select the
next available mode.
REGENERATIVE BRAKING
The power meter on the instrument panel
provides real-time feedback on the level of
regenerative braking, indicating the
amount of energy being generated and fed
back to the high-voltage battery. The
amount of regenerative braking can vary
depending on the current state of the
battery. For example, you’ll experience a
reduction in regenerative braking if the
battery is extremely hot or cold or if the
battery is already charged to its maximum
allowable level.
