7. Remove the jumper cables by reversing the above installa-
tion sequence exactly. While removing each clamp be sure
that it does not touch any other metal while connected to
the other battery.
W A R N I N G
Batteries produce explosive gases, contain corrosive
acid and generate levels of electrical current high
enough to cause burns.
To reduce the risk of personal injury when working
near a battery:
•
WEAR SAFETY GLASSES and avoid leaning over
a battery whenever possible.
•
Do NOT expose a battery to open flames or
sparks.
•
Ensure that batteries with fill caps are properly
filled with fluid.
•
Do NOT allow battery acid to contact eyes or skin.
Flush any contacted area thoroughly with water
immediately and seek medical attention.
Failure to heed this warning may result in serious per-
sonal injury and property damage.
