Make the pipe connection between the indoor and
outdoor unit ensuring a tight connection
(finger
tightening initially to avoid risk of cross threading).
Remove both brass end caps from the two valves
on the outdoor unit – this will reveal an allen key
connection on both valves.
Turning anticlockwise – first half unscew the
small liquid port valve, you will hear refrigerant
gas passing through the small pipe – this will
occur for up to 6 seconds.
Repeat the above process for the larger gas valve
port.
Return to fully unscrew small liquid port valve.
Return to fully unscrew large gas port valve.
Replace the brass caps firmly.
You should not hear any further refrigerant
movement once these steps have been completed
(Apply soapy water to the piping joints to ensure no
gas bubbles exist i.e. No leaks should exist).
