Feed the cables through the slot
in the tube retainer making sure
the cables are nor crimped or
damaged. Make sure the tube
retainer is oriented correctly so
that it will seat flush against the
lock case.
Seat the tube retainer properly,
making sure it’s tab is inserted
into the lock case. Don’t forget to
install the ground contact as well.
Keep the cables pulled
tight as you are seating the
tube retainer so that none of the
excess cable is caught under the
tube retainer as it is being seated
into place.
The cables should look like the
photo when installed properly.
Hold the tube retainer in place,
insert and tighten the screw
holding the tube retainer.
Replacement of Ribbon Cable
Complete.
Re-install the X-09/X-10 lock and check for proper operation.

sets. Inspect and replace these parts if worn, damaged or lost.
