SAFETY ADVICES
As with any mechanical component, a vehicle is subject to high stress and
wear.
Different materials and components may react differently to wear or fatigue.
If the expected life of a component is exceeded, it may suddenly break and
risk injuring the user. Cracks, scratches and discoloration in high stress
areas indicate that the component has exceeded its life and should be
replaced. EN 17128:2020 (F) city traffic involves crossing many obstacles,
such as sidewalks or steps. It is recommended to avoid jumping obstacles. It
is important to anticipate and adapt your trajectory and speed to those of a
pedestrian before crossing obstacles. It is also recommended to get out of
the vehicle when these obstacles become dangerous due to their shape,
their height or the risk of skidding they present. Keep the plastic protection
out of the reach of children to avoid any risk of suffocation. Take the time to
learn the basics of the practice to prevent a serious accident from occurring
during the first months. Avoid high traffic areas or congested areas; in all
cases, anticipate your trajectory and speed while respecting the highway
code, the pedestrian code and the most vulnerable beings; signal your
presence when approaching a pedestrian or cyclist who may not have seen
or heard the vehicle; cross the protected passages while walking; in any
case, pay attention to yourself and to others; not to divert the vehicle from
its initial use; this vehicle is not intended for acrobatic use; be careful, the
brake can heat up when it is used. Do not touch it after use; regularly check
the tightness of the various bolted elements, in particular the road axles, the
folding system, the steering system and the brake axle, eliminate sharp
edges caused by use; do not modify or alter the vehicle, including the
steering tube and sleeve, the stem, the folding mechanism and the rear
brake.
In the event of a breakdown or accident, do not touch your vehicle, place it
in a safe place, call the emergency services and your dealer to have your
vehicle taken care of by a professional.
