SLEEP
Your Shield has a SLEEP mode. This means
no purification cycle is being performed. In
SLEEP mode, the appliance is in its energy-
saver mode, the screen is off and only the
HOME button is visible. The SLEEP mode can
only be accessed from the HOME screen.

Activating
the mode
Press HOME when you are on
the HOME screen. This means no
purification cycle is being performed.
Automatic standby
After 15 minutes of being idle,
the Shield will automatically switch
to SLEEP mode.
Stopping SLEEP
mode
Press HOME. This takes you back
to the HOME screen. The Shield will
then await further instructions.
LOCK
In order to protect your Shield from changes
made by another person, you can lock
the access to your appliance even when a
purification cycle is in progress. The LOCK
mode locks the entire screen.

Press for
3 seconds
Regardless of which screen you are
currently on, press HOME for at least
3 seconds. This locks the Shield.
Unlocking
Press for
3 seconds
Press HOME for at least 3 seconds.
This unlocks the Shield. It will take
you back to the original screen.
Even when the LOCK mode is on, you can visually identify the current purification cycle by what the
HOME button is doing.

24/7 MODE
The Shield was designed using a JVD
®
patented
technology. CONTINUOUS mode provides
optimal purification for a period of 8 hours.
However, in the event of permanent nuisances
(areas with high sanitary restrictions,
persistent odours, ongoing high use area,
etc.), you can programme the Shield to
operate 24/7. The CONTINUOUS button will
glow steadily.
