select the band.

Changing the FM reception mode
When an FM stereo broadcast is hard to receive or noisy,
reception improves in monaural reception.
Press FM MODE on the unit so that the STEREO
indicator disappears from the display window.
To restore the stereo effect, press the button again so
that the STEREO indicator appears.
Note:
The FM reception mode setting may be canceled when
you tune in another station.

Note:
The built-in ferrite core antenna may pick up interference
from television receivers in the neighborhood disturbing
AM reception.
Changing the AM tuning interval
The unit’s default tuning interval for AM stations is 9
kHz/step. You can change this setting when using the
unit in an area where the frequency allocation for AM
stations is 10 kHz/step.
To switch the AM tuning interval

Press STANDBY/ON
to turn off the unit.

Press and hold STANDBY/ON
for more than
2 seconds.
Each time you press and hold STANDBY/ON
,
the tuning interval switches between 9 kHz/step and
10 kHz/step.
Note: When you change the setting
The preset stations for both FM and AM are erased. You
will need to preset the stations again (See page 15).
