J* Protocol Interface Hardware
Description
The serial command interface uses Pins 2
and 3 on the Control connector. The
voltage levels are TTL levels.
Caution:
Do not use RS-232C voltage levels.
The interface is not designed to support
the use of negative voltage levels.
Voltage inputs to Pin 2 and 3 should not
be below 0 V or exceed 5 V.
Genlock Signal Input
Caution:
When using an AC Adaptor, please
comply with Limited Power Source
(LPS) standards.
To reduce the emission of unwanted radio
waves, be sure to attach the provided clamp
filter as shown in the figure below.
Attach the clamp filter as close to this device
as possible, as shown below.
Power Supply
Turning On/Off the Power
After connecting to power cable, the unit
with power ON, causing the Power LED
light to turn red.
After disconnecting the power cable, the unit
will power OFF and the Power LED will turn
off.
The camera requires a voltage input of DC 12
– 15 V with a current drawn of >2.5 A. The
cable used to power the unit should be
terminated with Hirose part number
HR10A-7P-4S and the pinout is:
The full serial command set is described in
the section in Appendix A regarding the J*
Command Interface.
