This function can score your karaoke performance
by comparing your singing to the original vocals
recorded on the playback source. The function
also estimates the number of calories burned while
singing.
NOTE
• This function can be used when “DVD” or “USB”
is selected as the source.
• A karaoke disc is recommended for use with this
function.
• For a DVD VR or JPEG file, even when this
function is activated, it does not work.
• Starting this function automatically activates the
microphone.

When the “ ” indicator lights up in the
display window

Press [SCORING].
• “SCOR ON” appears in the display window.

• Each time you press [SCORING], the
display toggles between “SCOR ON” and
“SCOR OFF” in the display window.
• To cancel the scoring function, press
[SCORING] again to select “SCOR OFF” in
the display window.

Start playback of the loaded disc
or the connected USB device.
• Refer to pages 19 and 20 for details on disc/
USB device playback.
• The
“ ”
and “SCORING” indicators start
flashing in the display window.
• “SCORING” and then “START” appears in
the display window.

Sing into the microphone.
• After playback finishes, “COMPLETE”
appears and the
“ ” and
“SCORING”
indicators stop flashing in the display
window, and then your score appears on the
TV screen.
Karaoke score (TV screen)
• The karaoke score disappears from the TV
screen when you press any button.
• To start over again, or to start the scoring
function, press

. Playback and scoring

• Before playing back a VCD or SVCD, cancel
the PBC function. (Refer to page 22.)
Otherwise the scoring function does not
work.
• When you pause playback by pressing

,
the score for the singing until that moment is
canceled. When you restart playback, the
singing from that moment is graded.
• When you stop playback by pressing

, the
singing until that moment is graded.
• To cancel the scoring function during
playback, press [SCORING]. “CANCEL”
appears in the display window and the
function is canceled.
• The latest top three scores on the ranking
list are cleared when the main unit is turned
off.
NOTE
• When the main unit does not detect a voice for
approximately 2 minutes because you are not
singing or your voice is too small, the scoring
function may not work properly.
• To obtain a correct scoring result, sing the song
completely. If the singing time is less than 3
minutes, the scoring result may be “0” or
incorrect.
• Activating this function cancels repeat playback.
• This function does not work during program
playback and random playback.
