You can decrease or muffle the original vocal
sound by using the vocal masking function.
■
When the “ ” indicator lights up in the
display window
Press [VOCAL MASKING] repeatedly.
• Each time you press [VOCAL MASKING], the
display changes in the display window as
follows.
- “V. MASK”
Suitable for stereo (2-channel) sound.
- “L CHAN”
Suitable for karaoke discs. Both the left and
right speakers produce only the left channel
sound.
- “R CHAN”
Suitable for karaoke discs. Both the left and
right speakers produce only the right channel
sound.
- “OFF”
Cancels the vocal masking function.
Display window
NOTE
• This function may not affect the sound in some
songs.
• The setting of the vocal masking function returns
to “OFF” (the initial setting) for the following
conditions.
- When you change the source.
- When you deactivate the microphone mixing
function.

When the “VOCAL MASK” indicator lights
up in the display window
Press [VOCAL SUPPORT].
• The volume of the original vocals is restored and
“VO. SUPP” appears in the display window. You
can sing the song along with the vocals at the
original volume.
Display window
• To reduce the volume of the original vocals,
press [VOCAL SUPPORT] again. “VO. OFF”
appears in the display window for a short time.
NOTE
• The setting of the vocal supporting function
returns to “VO. OFF” (the initial setting) for the
following conditions.
- When you change the source.
- When you deactivate the microphone mixing
function.
Reducing the volume of the
