(0300) 32K (00)

48 K (01)
For selecting the audio sampling frequency for analog audio
recording.
32 K : Records at 32 kHz. Up to four channels of recording tracks
are available, but this unit only records onto two of these
channels.
48 K : Records at 48 kHz. It records in the 2-channel stereo mode.
Memo
Setting this item is not required for DV signal or HDV signal input.
The audio mode will match the input signal.

CH1/2 (00)
MIX (01)
CH3/4 (02) Select the audio channel for output signals from the AUDIO OUT
terminal or PHONES terminal. Select the following audio choices.
(In DV format mode only)
• Playback audio of tapes recorded in 32 kHz audio mode
• EE audio of DV signal input in 32 kHz audio mode
CH1/2 : Outputs audio of channels CH1 and CH2.
MIX : Outputs mixed sound of CH1 and CH3 to the CH1/3 ter-
minal, and the mixed sound of CH2 and CH4 to the CH2/
4 terminal.
CH3/4 : Outputs audio of channels CH3 and CH4.

For enabling/disabling audio output from this AUDIO OUT termi-
nal during slow playback or searches. (In DV format mode only)
OFF : Output off.
ON : Output on.
Memo
When playing back an HDV format tape, search audio is not out-
put.

–12 dB (01) For selecting the level for playback audio output.
–20 dB : Usually, this setting is used.
–12 dB : Select here to reduce the analog sound output level. It
will be reduced by 8 dB.
V.FADE: DV

ON (01)
For enabling/disabling the V.FADE function, which reduces sound
noise in playback that is produced at jointed parts of recording.
OFF : V.FADE function disabled.
ON : V.FADE function enabled.
Memo
When playing back an HDV format tape, the V. FADE function is
unavailable.

Select whether to adjust both channels simultaneously, or to
adjust each channel separately.
