MAINTENANCE
• Always check before use that no parts are
damaged, missing or worn. Firmly tighten
all screw unions. Do not use the product if
any parts are missing or damaged – risk
of serious personal injury. Have the
product checked and repaired before
using it again.
• Do not use solvent on plastic parts, this
can damage the plastic. Remove any dirt,
dust, oil or grease with a clean cloth.
IMPORTANT:
Never let brake fluid, petrol, oil-based
products, penetrating oils, etc. come into
contact with plastic parts.
REPLACING THE LINE SPOOL
Only use trimmer line recommended by the
manufacturer.
1. Remove the battery.
2. Press in the lugs on the sides of the
trimmer spool.
3. Pull up the spool casing to release.
4. Remove the empty spool.
5. Check that the trimmer line sticks out
through the slot in the new spool. The
end of the trimmer line should stick out
about 15 mm outside the slot.
6. Put in the new spool with the trimmer
line and slot in line with the hole in the
trimmer head. Thread the trimmer line
through the hole.
7. Pull the trimmer line that sticks out from
the trimmer head so that the trimmer line
releases from the slot in the spool.
8. Replace the spool casing by pressing in
the lugs and pressing it down until it clicks
into place.

REPLACING THE TRIMMER LINE
1. Remove the battery.
2. Remove the line spool from the trimmer
head. Remove any remaining trimmer
line from the spool.
3. Cut about 3 metres of trimmer line.
4. Put the trimmer line in the anchor hole
on the top of the spool. Wind the trimmer
line clockwise round the top of the spool
(see arrows on spool). Put the trimmer
line in the slot on the top flange of the
spool, so that about 15 cm of trimmer
line sticks out from the slot. Do not wind
on too much – when the trimmer line is
wound on there should be at least 6 mm
of free space between the trimmer line
and the outer edge of the spool.
5. Replace the spool and spool casing as per
the instructions above.

STORAGE
• Remove the battery from the product
before putting into storage.
• Remove all foreign material from the
product.
• Keep this product out of the reach of
children.
• Store the product away from corrosive
substances, such as salt.
• Charge and store batteries in a cool area.
Temperatures over or below normal room
temperature reduce battery life.
• Do not store discharged batteries. Allow
the battery to cool and then charge it.
• Store the battery in a dry place at no more
than 27°C.
• Batteries self-discharge, especially in high
ambient temperature. For best battery
life, charge the battery every or every
other month, even when the product is
not in use.
