DESCRIPTION
The letter scales are operated with a single button. The scales have the following functions:
A.
ON/TARING when you press the button once.
B.
When the scales are turned on, they are turned off by holding the button pressed for two seconds.
C.
When the scales are turned off, press and hold the button for two seconds to turn them on; during
this process you also switch the weight unit between grams and ounces.
OPERATION
ON/OFF:
Remove the wrapping paper and the white protective sponge that protects the scales
against overloading. Insert the batteries and place the scales on a flat, stable surface. Press the
button to turn the scales on. All segments of the display are lit (“8888”), and after 3 to 6 seconds
the display shows “0.0g” The scales are now ready for use.
WEIGHING:
Carefully place the item to be weighed in the middle of the platform. The display
flickers until the measurement has stabilised. The weight of the item now appears on the display.
AUTOMATIC LOCKING OF MEASUREMENT VALUE:
When the measurement value has
stabilised, the value is locked for 5 seconds. This is indicated by the symbol “H”. Locking ceases
immediately if the value is changed by ±10 units.
TARING:
When the measurement value has stabilised, press the TARE button. The display will
show “0.0g”. The taring function can be used repeatedly. When the tared object is removed from
the scales, the display will show a negative value. This value can also be tared.
CHANGE WEIGHT UNIT:
Press the button to turn the scales on and hold the button pressed. The
display alternates between the two measurement units. Release the button when the desired
weight unit is being displayed.
LOW BATTERY VOLTAGE:
If the battery voltage is low, “LO” appears in the display when the
scales are turned on. The scales are then turned off after two seconds. The scales are not turned
off while weighing is in progress, but a battery symbol appears in the display instead.
OVERLOAD:
The display shows “Err” when the measurement value e9 units, if the entire
weight exceeds the scales’ capacity times 1.9, or if the scales cannot establish a valid weight
parameter when they are turned on
OFF:
Press and hold the button for two seconds to turn off the scales. Otherwise the scales will be
turned off automatically after 90 seconds if the value on the display is not changed.
