SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read these instructions carefully before use!
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than
8 and supervised.
Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
Check that the mains voltage at the point of use corresponds with the data specified on
the appliance type plate.
The mains power outlet must be properly earthed.
Clean the appliance before using it for the first time by filling it with water and letting it
pass through the coffee maker. Pour the water away.
Place the appliance on a flat, stable surface to avoid accidents.
The appliance is not intended for use by people (including children) with various
disabilities, or by people who have no knowledge of how the appliance is used, unless
they are supervised or receive instructions concerning its use from someone responsible
for their safety.
Children must be supervised to make sure they do not play with the appliance.
This appliance must only be used to heat water. Do not use it to heat other liquids, such
as milk or coffee.
Never turn the appliance on if the water container is empty, as this can damage it.
Fill the container with water to between the MIN and MAX markings.
Unplug the power cord after use. Clean the filter and filter holder with water when the
appliance has cooled. Clean other parts with a dry cloth and store the appliance in a
suitable location.
If the water is hard, descale the appliance at least once a month. Add descaling agent, fill
the water container and let it stand for 5 minutes. Start the appliance and allow the water
to pass twice without adding coffee.
Open the pot lid by pressing the opening button.
Never immerse the appliance in water.
Do not dismantle the charger. Service and repair work must only be performed by an
authorised service centre.

OPERATION

Insert the filter in the filter holder and add the coffee powder (about 6 grams per cup) or tea.

Place the filter unit in position.
3.
Fill the container with the required amount of water, put the lid on and place the pot in position.
4.
Turn on the power switch. The indicator light comes on and the appliance starts.
5.
When the coffee is ready you should wait for a minute or so before removing the pot, as there may
be liquid left in the filter.
