SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read the Operating Instructions carefully before use!
The person operating the pump must be familiar with these instructions.
For reasons of electrical safety, the pump must always be connected to a residual current device
with a tripping current of
≤
30 mA.
Inspect the pump before use. Do not use the pump if it is damaged. A damaged pump must be
checked, without exception, by a qualified electrician.
Electrical connections must be made in a dry area that cannot flood.
Keep the power cord and plug away from heat, oil and sharp edges.
Check that the mains voltage corresponds to the rated voltage on the type plate.
Do not allow children to use the pump. Keep children away from the pump when it is plugged in.
Before first use: Clear the outlet pipe.
A damaged cord must be replaced by a qualified electrician or an authorised service
representative.
Corrosive, flammable or explosive liquids (such as petrol, kerosene, thinners), grease, oil, brine or
waste water from toilets, must not be pumped.
The temperature of the pumped liquid must not exceed 35°C.
The pump may only be used for its intended purpose as specified by the manufacturer.

USE
General
The pump is an electrically powered, self-venting, centrifugal pump for horizontal installation with a
venturi system for lifting heights up to 8 m. If the pump is equipped with a bottom valve it is vented
immediately.
The pump is designed for use with clean water at a maximum of 35°C. Do not use the pump for other
liquids. The pump is made of high-quality materials and the hydraulic and electrical systems undergo
stringent inspections. Follow the instructions and wiring diagram during installation. Otherwise the motor
may be overloaded or damaged.
Installation
The pump must be placed as close to the water surface as possible to reduce the suction height and
pressure loss. For permanent installation, anchor the pump to the floor with screws through the holes in
the base.
Place the pump in a dry area that cannot flood.
Connection
It must not be possible to compress the suction pipe. The end must be at least 30 cm below the water
surface to prevent turbulence and intake of air. If the suction height is greater than 7 m, a suction pipe
with a diameter larger than the pump’s suction port is recommended. All connections must be watertight.
Avoid bends, if possible. The entire suction pipe incline must be at least 2%. The diameter of the outlet
pipe should be at least the same as the pump outlet port. Never let the suction or outlet pipes rest on top
of the pump.
