!
Keep the work area clean and tidy. Untidy work areas increase the risk of accidents and injuries.
Do not expose power tools to rain or moisture and do not use them in damp or wet conditions.
Ensure that the workplace is well lit. Do not use the machine near flammable liquids or gases.
Protect yourself from electric shock by avoiding body contact with earthed objects such as water
pipes, radiators, cookers and refrigerators.
Do not allow unauthorised persons to touch the machine or power cord.
Lock the machine away in a dry, frost-free place out of the reach of children.
Do not overload the machine. The machine does the job better and safer when used at the speed
and rate for which it was designed.
Use the correct tool. Do not use machines or tools to do work for which they are not dimensioned
or intended.
Wear proper work clothes. Do not wear loose-fitting clothing, jewellery, etc. as these can get
caught in moving parts. Wear rubber gloves and non-slip shoes when working outdoors. Wear a
hair net if you have long hair.
Wear eye protection. You must also wear a breathing mask if the work generates a lot of dust.
Do not overreach. Keep a firm footing and a proper balance at all times.
Maintain your machines and tools. Keep cutting tools clean and sharp to ensure better and safer
work. Follow the instructions for the maintenance and replacement of accessories. Always keep the
handles dry and free from oil and grease.
Check the trimmer and power cord regularly and when necessary allow an authorised service
centre to repair damaged parts. Always keep the handles dry and free from oil and grease.
Switch off and unplug the machine from the mains supply before servicing it and replacing
accessories.
Check that spanners and other tools have been removed from the machine before starting it.
Avoid accidental starting. Never carry a machine with your finger on the trigger when it is
connected to the mains. Always make sure the power switch is in the OFF position before
connecting the machine to the mains supply.
Check that extension cords are dimensioned and designed for the intended purpose, e.g. for
outdoor use.
Pay attention to what you are doing and use your common sense. Do not use the machine if you
cannot concentrate.
Check before starting the machine that all the safety devices are in place and working properly.
Check that all moving parts are in good condition and correctly fitted to ensure problem-free
operation of the machine. Damaged parts must be repaired or replaced by an authorised service
centre, unless otherwise recommended in these Operating Instructions. Defective switches must
also be replaced by an authorised service centre. Do not use the machine if the power switch or
other on/off mechanisms are not working properly.
The multi trimmer complies with the applicable safety regulations. Repair work must only be
performed by an authorised service centre. The user can otherwise be exposed to safety risks.
For your own safety, only use spare parts specified in the Operating Instructions or recommended
by the machine manufacturer. The use of other parts poses a safety hazard.
If the multi trimmer stops because grass has fastened to it, release the switch first before trying to
removing it.
