OPERATION
Preparation
Read all operating and safety instructions carefully before use. If you have no experience of this
type of machine, ask for assistance from someone with experience.
Unpack the saw and inspect it for transit damage.
The machine is for outdoor use only. It must be placed on a horizontal, level surface and be firmly
anchored to the ground using the mounting holes in the machine feet. Make sure there is nothing
on the ground around the machine that could trip a person. Do not use the saw if the ground or
surface is slippery.
All covers and safety devices must be properly installed before starting the machine. Check that
the blade rotates freely without catching.
Check the machine and all cables for transit damage.
Check that the blade is properly fitted, is not dirty or damaged and that it is sharp. Sharpen or
replace blunt blades.
Check that all screw connections are tight.
Check that there are no objects on the machine that might be catapulted away when the machine
is being used.
The power source must be protected by a residual current device with a tripping current of ≤ 30
mA.
Before you use the machine, check that the voltage specified on the rating plate is the same as the
mains voltage in the workplace.
IMPORTANT!
If the machine is connected to 3-phase power, it is essential to check the direction in which the
motor turns. To do this, briefly switch on the motor. The blade must rotate clockwise when viewed
from the left-hand side (see the directional arrow on the blade). If this is not the case, the direction
of rotation must be corrected using the phase converter on the connection plug.
Keep children and onlookers at a safe distance when using the machine.
Do not attempt to saw more than one piece of wood or bundles of wood at the same time. Risk of
serious personal injury. Place bent pieces of wood in the feed carriage so that the side that is bent
outwards faces the saw blade.
Before you start the machine, check that the blade is properly installed and that moving parts all
run smoothly.
