FLAME ADJUSTMENT
In order to obtain a fl ame with great calorifi c power, adjust the air and gas
mixture.
If the burner burns with the air intake too much closed, combustion is incom-
plete and the fl ame shows an orange colour.
When opening the air passage, combustion is completed and in the fl ame
two clearly separated zones by a light blue cone are appreciated.
Outside the cone, the combustion is complete and a great calorifi c power is
obtained.
Inside the cone, combustion is not completed and the temperature is lower.
Once adjusted, air intake can be fi xed by the piece 4 counter clockwise.
How to make a practical verifi cation of the fl ame adjustment:
Hold a porcelain capsule with a clamp upon the fl ame:
•
If the capsule is blackened by the smoke, it indicates that the air intake is
not enough.
•
If small drops of water arise, it indicates that the air intake is correct.
2.2
Turning on models with gas cut out
The burner with thermo-electric valve offers additional safety. It cuts the gas
supply if the fl ame accidentally goes out. The thermocouple located close to
the fl ame acts by closing the valve when the temperature drops.
To turn the burner on:
•
Press blue button 8. Keep it pressed.
•
Turn the lighter on as explained in section 4.1
•
Keep the blue button pressed for a few seconds and release.

OPERATION
Before using the burner, please check the following:
•
Check that the burner has the gas regulation key closed, before opening the installation passage key.
•
Check that the gas inlet tube is correctly fi xed to the gas entrance mouth.
4.1
BURNER IGNITION (See Fig. A)
•
Totally close the air intake (2), slightly open the gas passage key (1) and laterally approach an ignited match to the mouth
of the tube (5).
•
Regulate the gas key (1), until you obtain a fl ame with the wished height.
•
Gradually open the air intake (2) (DO NOT open it in a sudden because burner fl ame can be extinguished).
•
In order to obtain a higher temperature, open more the gas key (1) and the air intake (2).
•
THE BURNER EXTINGUISHES WHEN CLOSING THE GAS KEY (1).
3.
INSTALLATION
DO NOT CONNECT a gas burner without an appropriate pressure reduction or directly to the gas cylinder.
Before connecting the burner to a gas installation, please be sure that it provides the gas and the suitable pressure.
The connection elements and tubes must fulfi l the requirements established by the providing gas company.
The gas burners installation must be performed by an authorized installer.
Check with the providing company any doubt about installation. Do not modify any piece (orifi ces, steps, etc) of gas burners. In
the table of section 2 you will fi nd pressures of use.
