Always use a fresh 9V battery in the
transmitter.
1) Ensure transmitter ‘ON/OFF’ switch is in the
‘OFF’ position.
2) Remove battery cover screw.
3) Remove battery cover by pressing down on
the embossed arrow and sliding the cover as
indicated.
4) Insert 9V battery, noting correct location
(po or -).
5) Slide battery cover back into place.
6) Re-fit battery cover screw.
NOTE 1: The Offshore Lite Series are supplied
with a start-up 9V dry cell battery. Once this
battery is depleted, please replace it with
another dry cell 9V battery (alkaline recommended)
or fully charged 9V rechargeable battery. Remove
9V battery from the transmitter if you do not intend
to use it for a period of time.
NOTE 2: When the transmitter battery (dry cell
or rechargeable) is at the end of its life, it should
be disposed of at an approved battery recycling
centre. DO NOT DISPOSE OF IT IN HOUSEHOLD
WASTE!

INSTALLING THE 9V DRY BATTERY IN YOUR TRANSMITTER
CHARGING THE 7.2V 1100mAh NiMH BATTERY
1) Remove the AC charger from the package and
plug it into the power socket. The green LED
light turn on means power on.
2) Plug in the 7.2V NiMH battery to the AC charger,
the green LED light turn to red LED light means
charging.
3) Supplied 7.2V NiMH battery will charge from flat
in around 2 hours. Red LED light turn back to
Green LED light means battery is fully charged.
4) Unplug the 7.2V NiMH battery from the AC
charger, unplug the AC charger from the power socket.
4) Never leave the battery unattended during charging process. Always keep charger out of reach of children.
5) Never put the battery inside the boat to be recharged.
6) It is normal for the battery to get warm during the charging process. Do not charge the battery on a surface
that is flammable or can be damaged by heat.
7) Do not attempt to disassemble the charger. Do not store the battery plugged into the charger.
CAUTION:
1) The 7.2V NiMH battery is not supplied pre-charged and must charge it fully before race boat for the first time.
2) Charge times are around 2 hours,do not leave on charge overnight. Battery should be unplugged from the
charger after a maximum 3 hours.
3) The 7.2V NiMH battery can be re-charged many times before it needs replacing. When 7.2V NiMH battery no
longer holds a charge, it should be properly recycled. DO NOT DISPOSE OF IT IN HOUSEHOLD WASTE!
NOTE 1: The Offshore Lite Series will typically run for around 5 minutes on a fully charged 7.2V NiMH battery.
As soon as you notice a drop off in speed you should bring the model back to shore or control may be lost.
