It can be very interesting to ringmodulate an external signal. Select ”Ext in“ as source and
select a VCO or RCO as modifier. Using drumloops and vocals can create very nice results.
A single routing element can also produce several modulations, depending on the
destination it’s sent to. E.g. by sending the ringmodulated signal to the VCF IN, you can filter it.
It’s not modulated anymore though. By sending it to destination VCO 1 FM on the other hand,
the ringmodulated sound will create a frequency modulation with VCO 1.
You’ve only needed one routing element for all of this. You could use the second routing
element to rhythmically cut the signal of the EXT IN into pieces by the LFO and then let this
control the VCA AMT.
