6. Operating Instructions
IMPORTANT:
It is the responsibility of the user to verify the calibration
of the instrument before each use.
Battery Installation
Note:
Always check to be sure that the on/off switch is in the off
position before removing and replacing batteries.
Alkaline Battery Installation
1. Unscrew the press board of the alkaline battery case and remove
the battery cover.
2. Put in 4 “C” alkaline batteries (not included) according to the
illustrated polarity direction.
3. Screw the press board to press against batteries.
Ni-MH Rechargeable Battery Pack Installation
1. Unscrew the press board of the alkaline battery case and remove
the battery cover.
2. Put in the Ni-MH rechargeable battery pack according to the
outward direction of plug down-lead. Then insert the down-lead
plug into jack inside the instrument.
3. Screw the press board to press against batteries.
Ni-MH Rechargeable Battery Charging
Using the battery adapter (included), charge the rechargeable battery
pack through the outlet jack. When the charge indicator lamp turns
from red to green (after five hours or so), the Ni-MH rechargeable
battery pack has been fully charged.
