Accuracy Calibration
With reference to the above step 4 of Accuracy Self-Check, select h/2
position as datum line.
1. Enter into self-calibration
In power-off status, press the power button and tilt button on the
instrument. Then, release the power button while still holding the
tilt button down for 10 seconds. After the self-calibration indicator
lamps of X and Y direction blink three times at the same time,
release the tilt button and the instrument will enter self-calibration
mode. Note: Remote control must be used during self-calibration.
2. X-direction self-calibration
(a) Select self-calibration direction: First, make X-direction of the
instrument face against datum line, and then press X/Y button
once to select self-calibration for X-direction.
Now the X-direction indicator lamp in the CALIBRATOR area of
front panel is lit (see fig. 22-1), and rotating head begins to rotate.
(b) Calibrate laser beam to datum line position: Press two buttons on
remote control (fig. 22-2), and adjust laser beam to datum line
position.
