Enclosure Designs
For passive convection (no fan) applications, wider racks are beneficial; spacious
sides around mounted equipment create a good
chimney effect
by effectively
drawing heat upward. See Figure 5.
In forced-air applications, a narrower cabinet can be selected to save space.
