Precaution:
In addition, lateral and
AP fluoroscopy
should be utilized to place the neuromonitoring
probe/Kirschner Wire through the psoas and into
the annulus of the desired intervertebral disc
space (2).
In case no neuromonitoring is used, the 3.0 mm
Kirschner Wire can be utilized.
Precaution:
Ensure the neuromonitoring probe or
Kirschner Wire remains securely in position until
the retractor is in place by having it sufficiently
anchored in the disc space.
