Norminal current
The nominal allowable current of the motor is stated on the motor
plate.This shows the nominal workong range of the motor and can
be used to protect the motor
Measuring the actual current of the pump during operation can be
used to pre-set the motor protection switch to protect the pump/motor
combination
This current value can also be used determine
the proper electrical equipment such as variable
frequency drive, main switch, wiring diameter etc.
