Classification
The TLS Tunable Laser Source consists of an exposed metal chassis that is
connected directly to earth via a power cord and, therefore, is classified as a
Class 1 instrument.
Laser Specifications
The laser contained in the TLS source is Class 1 laser as specified under the laser
classification of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Center for Devices
and Radiological Health (CDRH). Laser specifications are provided in Table 2
below.
