Once these checks have been performed, you can connect the

power cord at the rear of the instrument.

For optimum observation conditions, you can use it with or without the prop
located under the instrument.

2.2  Quick start – front panel

For easier use of this oscilloscope, the front panel is divided into 3 zones
with different colours; each zone includes functions having a similar nature.

Zone 1 (grey)

(1) ON/OFF
Switch with power-on indicator.

(2) BRIGHTNESS
For trace brightness adjustment.

(3) SHARPNESS
For trace sharpness adjustment: this must be done at the same time as
brightness adjustment.

(4) TRACE ROTATION
Adjustment of the trace horizontality relative to the graticule (requires the
use of a screwdriver).

(5) SCREEN ILLUMINATION
Scale light adjustment (useful in dark premises or for taking photographs).

(6) CAL. 0.5
Probe calibration output, 0.5 V peak to peak @ 1 kHz.

Zone 2: VERTICAL (blue)

Selection zone for one or both channels.

(7) YA OR X INPUT
Input for channel A or input horizontal deviation in XY mode.

(8) YB OR Y INPUT
Input for channel B or vertical deviation input in XY mode.

(9) VOLTS/DIV.
Range selection for channel A or B: allows the signal to be displayed with
the desired scale.
