4 Starting up and first use
4.1 With the VTT console
4.1.1 Installation of VTT seismic software
Using the Cd supplied with the sensor:
- Update your VTT console
so the sensor is recognised:
1- Start up the VTT Space software .
2- Click on
and install the Biosflash software on your PC.
3- When connecting your VTT console, it will be updated automatically.
- Install the seismic software:
1- Start the VTT Space software.
2- Click on
and install the seismic software on your PC.
3- Click and drag the software into your VTT.
4.1.2 Installation of the experiment device
- Connect one or more sensors to one of the interface housings.
If you want to use 2 seismometers for a quantitative approach for the
phenomenon:
- place the 2 seismometers side by side,
- make a shock equidistant from the 2 sensors,
- adjust the response using the adjustment button on the unit.
- Position the red sensor flat on the surface where the shock will be made.
- Make a shock.
