Connect the gas supply pipe directly to the inlet connection of the gas valve. The connection on the valve is a 8mm
nut-and-olive type compression fitting.
NOTE:
Check for leaks when the gas pressure is turned on for the first time.
GRANULAR VERMICULITE
The burner tray must be filled with the granular vermiculite. The vermiculite must be filled to the same level as the
top of the burner.
NOTE:
Don’t compress the vermiculite. This might cause uneven burn or unacceptable combustion levels.
CERAMIC PEBBLE LAYOUT
Spread the supplied pebbles evenly spaced over the full cross section of the vermiculite.
NOTE:
•
Pebbles must only be placed in 1 layer. Do not place a second layer of pebbles.
•
Only use the pebbles supplied by the manufacturer, never substitute for a different pebble. This might
cause unacceptable combustion levels.
GLASS BEAD LAYOUT
Spread a single layer of glass beads over the vermiculite. This layer should be no more than 5mm thick. Some
vermiculite might still be visible through the glass.
The supplied pebbles can now be placed on top of the glass beads in a pattern of your choice. When placing the
pebbles, ensure that the following rules are followed:
•
Pebbles should not touch each other and should have a gap of at least 15mm between each other.
•
Only one layer of pebbles may be used. Do not build a second layer.
•
Only use the number of pebbles supplied, do not use additional pebbles.
