ALARM OPERATION 

 

The JCR-212 features a dual alarm clock.  

 

Setting the alarms: 

1.  In standby mode, press and hold the 

POWER 

 BUTTON 

(#7)

, the ALARM 1 

 INDICATOR (#11) and the hour of the 

alarm time will flash.

 

 

2.  Tap 

the 

 

BUTTON (#2) or 

 BUTTON (#3) to set the 

hour

. Press and hold the button for fast reverse/advance setting. 

Make sure the 

correct AM or PM time is selected when setting the hour.

 

 

Note:

 The PM INDICATOR (#8) is located in the upper left part of the display.  

The PM INDICATOR (#8) will light when the hour digits selected are for PM time. 
The PM INDICATOR (#8) will be off when the hour digits selected are for AM time. 

 

3.  Tap the 

POWER 

  BUTTON (#7) 

to confirm the hour 

setting, the minute digits will flash to prompt for input.

 

 

4.  Tap 

the 

 

BUTTON (#2) or 

 BUTTON (#3) to set the

 

minute. Press and hold the button for fast reverse/advance 
setting. 

5.  Tap the 

POWER 

 BUTTON (#7) 

to confirm the minute setting. The alarm 

frequency will flash to prompt for input. 

6.  Tap 

the 

 

BUTTON (#2) or 

 BUTTON (#3) to select the alarm frequency.

 

(  1 – 7 = Daily, X = selected day of a week, 1 – 5 = Monday to Friday.  
  6 – 7 = Saturday and Sunday) 

7.  Tap the 

POWER 

 BUTTON (#7) 

to confirm the

 alarm frequency. 

 

8.

he ALARM 2 

 INDICATOR (#12) and the hour of the alarm time will now flash to 

prompt for input. 

9.  Repeat step 2 through step 7 to set ALARM 2. 
10. The unit will return to standby mode once the alarm setting process is completed. 

 

Note:  The  unit  will  automatically  save  the  settings  and  return  to  Standby  mode  if you 

do not tap any button within 10 seconds. 

 

Setting the “wake to” alarm source: 

 

ALARM 1: In Standby mode, repeatedly tap the ALARM 1 BUTTON (#5) to select 
the ALARM 1 source. The ALARM 1 

 INDICATOR (#11) will flash and the display 

will show one of the following options as you repeatedly tap the ALARM 1 BUTTON 
(#5).

 – Beeping alarm will wake you. 

FM Station (example: 95.5) -  the last FM radio station you listened to will wake you.  
AM Station (example: 720) -  the last AM radio station you listened to will wake you. 
OFF – Turns OFF ALARM 1 and the ALARM 1 

 INDICATOR (#11) will turn OFF. 

 

Alarm 2 source or Off setting is same as above but tap the ALARM 2 

 BUTTON 

(#6). 

Note:  The unit will automatically save the settings and return to Standby mode if you 

do not tap any button within 5 seconds.

 

 

Waking to Alarm - Turning the “wake to” Alarm ON: 

 

A beeping Alarm will automatically turn on when the alarm time is reached. The 
corresponding 

ALARM 1 

 

or ALARM 2 

 INDICATOR (#11 or #12) will flash.

 

  Press the SNOOZE BUTTON (#4) to temporarily turn off the alarm, or 

press the 

POWER   BUTTON (#7) to turn the alarm off.  

  If no buttons are pressed when the alarm is sounding, it will continue sounding for 

60 minutes and then turn off automatically.
