Battery Back-up system
•
This radio is equipped with a battery back-up system
located on the back of the unit that requires 1 x
CR2025 lithium battery (not included).
•
Remove the screw that holds the battery compartment
cover in place, and then remove the BATTERY
COMPARTMENT COVER (#15). Insert a CR2025
battery (not included) into the battery compartment
and make sure the positive and negative (+ or -) sides
of the batteries are in contact with the corresponding
terminals in the battery compartment. The battery
should be inserted under the 2 positive contact plates
as shown on the right. Replace the BATTERY
COMPARTMENT COVER (#15) and replace the screw.

If a power outage occurs the display will turn off and the back-up battery will
automatically retain the clock and alarm settings.
•
When replacing the battery, do not disconnect the power adaptor otherwise all
clock and alarm settings will be lost.
Note:
The unit will still operate without the back-up battery installed, but the time and alarm
settings will be lost and have to be reset in the event of a power interruption or failure.
