3. Insert the
³⁄₈
" socket and extension into the hole and use the
ratchet handle to loosen the nut half of a rotation. Repeat this
process for each of the four nuts.
4. With the nuts loosened, the blower exhaust scroll can be
easily rotated downward.
5. Retighten each nut with the
³⁄₈
" socket, extension and ratchet.
6. Reinstall the four plastic plugs.
To rotate blower motor:
1. Using a ratchet with a
³⁄₈
" socket and supporting the motor
with one hand, remove the four machine nuts that attach the
blower motor to the exhaust scroll.
2. Remove the blower motor and wheel assembly from the weld
studs.
3. When the motor mounting plate clears the threaded weld
studs, rotate the assembly clockwise 90° and reinstall the
four #10-32 machine nuts.
Install Cooktop
1. Using 2 or more people, place cooktop right side up into the
cutout.
NOTE: Make sure that the front edge of the cooktop is
parallel to the front edge of the countertop. If repositioning is
needed, lift entire cooktop up from the cutout to avoid
scratching the countertop.
2. Connect blower exhaust scroll to ducting.
3. Use vent clamps to secure the ducting to the blower exhaust
scroll.
4. Use the hold-down straps, provided in the hardware
package, to attach unit to the countertop. These straps may
be positioned on the left, front and back sides of the cooktop.
5. To install hold-down straps, pre-thread the clamping screw
into the strap about 2" (5.1 cm). With the cooktop positioned
in the cutout as desired, reach through the cabinet door
opening and push up along the wall of the cooktop base
flange.
6. If strap doesn’t hook, pull the strap down, move it to the left
or right about 1" (2.5 cm), and push up again.
7. Once strap is hooked, thread the clamping screw into the
strap until it meets resistance against the bottom of the
countertop. Then tighten slowly until the cooktop bottoms
against the countertop.
8. Install grease container(s) to bottom of cooktop.
9. Reinstall grease filter.
10. Reinstall vent grille.
