Disconnect the Driver Airbag connector(s).
NOTE: Check connectors - Clean and repair as necessary.
WARNING: DO NOT PLACE AN INTACT UNDEPLOYED AIRBAG FACE
DOWN ON A HARD SURFACE, THE AIRBAG WILL PROPEL INTO THE AIR
IF ACCIDENTALLY DEPLOYED. FAILURE TO TAKE THE PROPER PRE-
CAUTIONS COULD RESULT IN ACCIDENTAL AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT
AND PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH.
Connect the appropriate Load Tool to the Driver Airbag connector(s).

Replace the Driver Airbag in accordance with the Service Infor-
mation.
Perform __AIRBAG VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.

Replace the Clockspring in accordance with the Service Informa-
tion.
Perform __AIRBAG VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.

Disconnect the Load Tool from the Clockspring connector(s).
Disconnect the Airbag Control Module connector(s).
NOTE: Check connectors - Clean and repair as necessary.
Connect the appropriate Load Tool Adaptor to the Airbag Control Module connec-
tor(s).
Measure the resistance between the Driver Squib 1 Line 1 and Line 2 at the
Clockspring connector.
Is the resistance below 10K ohms?

Yes

Repair the Driver Squib 1 Line 1 circuit shorted to Driver Squib
1 Line 2 circuit.
Perform __AIRBAG VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.
