ENGINE WATER INTAKE VALVE
The water inlet valve of the engine is essential in the engine operation.
- Keep the strainer under the hull as clean as possible.
- Brush the strainer whenever the boat is lifted out.
- Do not cover the strainer with antifouling paint.
This valve must be open before starting the engine (risk of quick damage of the exhaust muffler
and of great damage of the engine).
ADVICE: Get used to checking immediately after starting the engine if water is expelled
with the exhaust gases.
If water does not flow out:
- Stop the engine immediately.
- Check that the valve is open.
Close the water inlet valve if the boat is unattended for long.
Inspect and clean the water filter regularly.
