Manage applications
To manage the applications installed on your JCB Toughphone, tap
Settings
then
Apps
.
To uninstall an application, select an item and tap
Uninstall
, tap
OK
to confirm.
To stop or change the settings of an application, select an item and tap the option you need.
Please note, not all applications may be deleted from your JCB Toughphone as they are part
of the installation software.
Security
You can protect your JCB Toughphone and data by setting screen lock or encrypting your
mobile phone.
Set a Screen Lock
To set a screen lock, tap
Settings
,
Security
then select:
Screen Lock
from application list.
None:
Deactivate the screen lock.
Swipe:
Slide to unlock the screen.
Pattern:
Draw a pattern to unlock. Follow the instructions to draw your lock pattern.
When prompted, draw the pattern to unlock the screen.
PIN:
Enter a numeric PIN to unlock. When prompted, enter the PIN to unlock the screen.
Password:
Enter a password to unlock. When prompted, enter the password to unlock the screen.
Smart Lock enables you to automatically unlock your JCB Toughphone in specific locations
or surroundings.
Face Unlock:
Can be set up also with one of the above secondary security levels for additional security.

from application list, you can set the time before
the screen times out and goes into lock mode. (If you have not entered any characters or made other
selections).

Hotspot and tethering
You can turn your phone into a mobile hotspot for Wi-Fi. By tapping settings, hotspot and tethering -
select Wi-Fi hotspot, then slide Use Wi-Fi hotspot. If you wish to change or view the password, click on
hotspot password.
