To avoid condensation to be formed inside, allow the unit to adapt to the surrounding temperatures when
bringing it into a warm room after transport. Condense sometimes prevents the unit from working at full
performance.
CLEANING THE APPLIANCE:
Clean by wiping with a polished cloth slightly dipped with water. Avoid getting water inside the unit. Do not
use volatile liquids such as benzene or thinner which will damage the unit.
CONNECTIONS
Always use good quality cables to prevent bad audio quality.
For more information on connections, please refer to the next chapter.
Be sure to turn off the unit before you make changes to the different connections.
In this manua
l we talk about “line inputs”. This is a global name for inputs with a level between 750mV and
2V. This includes tuners, videos, CD-players, etc.
FUNCTIONS (FRONT)
1. SPLITTER INPUT MAIN LEVEL:
this knob controls the level of the (stereo) main input (17).
2. MAIN LINK:
with this button you can send the input signal of the (stereo) main input to the (stereo) main
output.
3. MIXER OUTPUT MAIN LEVEL:
this knob controls the level of the (stereo) main output (16).
4. SPLIT / MIX:
use this button to select the desired mode for each mono channel:
•
SPLIT: this channel will be used as an output (splitter mode)
•
MIX: this channel will be used as an input (mixer mode)
5. Channel LEVEL:
this knob controls the level of each mono channel:
•
In SPLIT mode: it will control the channel output (14)
•
In MIX mode: it will control the channel input (15)
6. PAN:
use this knob to direct the signal to the desired spot in the stereo field:
•
In SPLIT mode:
o
turn the knob totally to the left if you want to send the left audio signal of the main input (17) to
the mono output of this channel (14).
o
turn the knob totally to the right if you want to send the right audio signal of the main input (17)
to the mono output of this channel (14)
Remark: you can use 2 separate mono channels as a stereo output. Turn the pan (balance) of
the first channel 100% left and turn the pan knob of the second channel 100% right.
o
Put the knob in the center position if you want to use the channel output (14) as a mono output
that carries both left and right main input signals (17).
•
In MIX mode:
o
turn the knob totally to the left if you want to send the signal of this channel to the left main
output (16).
o
turn the knob totally to the right if you want to send the signal of this channel to the right main
output (16).
Remark: you can use 2 separate mono channels to create a stereo input. Turn the pan
(balance) of the first channel 100% left and pan button of the second channel 100% right.
o
Put the knob in the center position if you want to send the mono input signal (15) to both left
and right main outputs (16).
7. POWER switch:
used to switch the unit ON or OFF. Make sure you switch the unit off when not in use
8. SPLITTER INPUT MAIN LEVEL meter:
shows the level of the main input (17)
