The motor does not raise or lower the
shutter, starts too slowly, or makes loud
noises.
Possible cause 1:
• The connections are not correct.
Solution 1:
• Check the connections.
Possible cause 2:
• Incorrect installation or overloading
Solution 2:
• Check the installation and the roller shutter load.
The roller shutter stops during raising
or lowering.
Possible cause 1:
• The set end point has been reached.
Solution 1:
• Reset the end points according to instructions.
Possible cause 2:
• The operating time has been exceeded (4 mi nu tes).
Solution 2:
• Allow the motor to cool for approx. 20 minutes.
Possible cause 3:
• Blockage (direction of rotation Up) due to ob-
struction or icing
Solution 3:
• Check and remove the obstruction or ice if neces-
sary.
The motor does not run.
Possible cause:
• No electricity supply.
Solution:
• Use a voltage meter to check the availability of
mains voltage (230 V), and check the wiring.
Pay special attention to the information on
unapproved types of connection.
• Check the installation.
The motor does not run anymore or be-
comes extremely hot.
Possible cause:
• "Test run" of the motor outside of the shaft (mo-
tor in non-installed state)
Motors convert unneeded power into heat!
Solution:
• Let the motor cool for approx. 20 minutes and
only switch it on when it has been fitted.
The motor does not stop independently
during setting and test runs.
Possible cause 1:
• The adapter has slipped off the bearing ring on
the motor head.
Solution 1:
• Check whether the adapter sits flush in front of
the motor head and is fully inserted in the roller
shutter shaft.
• Push the adapter so that it is flush in front of the
motor head and push the roller shutter shaft
completely onto the adapter.
• Reset the end points.
Possible cause 2:
• The roller cap is not fixed or the roller shutter
shaft is too short.
Solution 2:
• Fix the roller cap or insert a suitable roller shutter
shaft.
The motor runs in the wrong direction
when a button is pressed.
Solution:
• Change the direction of rotation of the motor
(see page 15).
