To use Precision sti tch regulati on
• Touch the
Regulated
butt on and then press the
Precision
butt on.
Press the plus (+) or
minus (—) to change
the sti tches-per-inch
setti ng.
Press to select Sti tch
Regulati on.
Press to select
Precision mode.
Aft er you press the Start/Stop butt on on the handlebars, you must begin moving the machine for it to
begin quilti ng according to the sti tches-per-inch setti ng. The circle above the Needle-stop butt on turns
green when you press the Start/Stop butt on on the handles, indicati ng that the needle is in moti on mode.
When you stop quilti ng by pressing the Start/Stop butt on on the handlebars again, the circle turns red,
indicati ng that the needle is in not moti on mode.
When you begin moving the machine, sti tching begins. When you stop moving the machine, sti tching
stops but just unti l you move it again.
NOTE
: When using Precision sti tch regulati on, if you stop moving the machine but do not press the
Stop/Stop butt on, aft er two minutes it will ti me out and a message box appears to let you know you
will need to press the Start/Stop butt on to resume quilti ng.
CAUTION
: Always make sure the power is off when changing the needle, replacing the bobbin, or
placing your hands near the needle to avoid unwanted sti tching in your quilt or in your fi ngers.
Machine Quilting Tip: When to use Precision stitch regulation
Precision sti tch regulati on mode is useful for ruler work. Sti tch along the length of the ruler
for the span of your hand and stop moving the machine, but do not press the Stop butt on.
When you stop moving the machine, the needle pauses. Move the ruler and then begin
moving the machine to conti nue quilti ng. Precision sti tch regulati on helps you to avoid
misplaced and uneven sti tches.
