Variety of straight stitches
U1 Straight stitch in center needle position
Use this stitch for seaming, rolled hemming etc.
U2 Lock-a-matic stitch
Use this stitch to secure the beginning and the end of a
seam with backstitching.
When you reach the end of the seam, press the reverse
button once.
The machine will sew four reverse stitches, four forward
stitches, and then stop sewing automatically.
U3 Locking stitch
This unique stitch is used where an invisible locking stitch
is needed.
The machine will sew several locking stitches at the be-
ginning and continue sewing forward.
When you press the reverse button at the end of the
seam, the machine will sew several locking stitches in
place, then stop sewing automatically.
U4 Straight stitch in left needle position
Use this stitch to seam fabrics close to the edge.
U5 Triple stretch stitch
This strong, durable stitch is recommended for areas
where both elasticity and strength are needed to ensure
comfort and durability.
Use it to reinforce areas such as crotch and armhole
seams.
Also use it when constructing items such as backpacks
for extra strength.
U6, U7 Stretch stitches
These are narrow stretch stitches designed to eliminate
puckering on knit fabrics and bias seams, while permitting
the seam to be pressed completely open at.
Use U7 for seaming ne fabrics or stretch fabrics.
