Set the thread tension dial at 1 ~ 3, and stitch
length dial at 3 ~ 4, sew straight lines 1 cm (3/8˝)
apart across the area to be smocked.
Knot the needle and bobbin threads along one
edge. Pull the bobbin threads and distribute
gathers evenly.
