Assigning or changing the device name and/or description:
1. From the Start menu tap
Settings
>
System
>
About
.
2. Tap the
Device ID
tab.
3. Enter a
Device name
. The Device
name cannot exceed 15 characters
or contain spaces. It must begin
with a letter and consist of letters
from A to Z and numbers from 0 to
9. Use the underscore character to
separate words.
4. Enter a
Description
. The Description cannot exceed 50
characters or contain spaces. It must begin with a letter
and consist of letters from A to Z and numbers from 0 to 9.
Use the underscore character to separate words.
IMPORTANT NOTE!
To synchronize multiple XM2-RFID devices with
the same PC, each device must have a unique
name.
