Instructions for the use of

LiPo Batteries

LiPo Racing

Ord. No. 141390

GB

ATTENTION!

Always observe the following warning/safety instructions:

The battery may only be charged under adult supervision!

    Monitor the charging process.

Only charge the battery on fi reproof, non-combustible surfaces!

If the cell (s) overheat, infl ate, smoke or burn, they must not be

touched. Keep a safe distance and provide suitable

extinguishing agents (extinguish burning cells/packages with

sand; powder extinguishers can be used, but these are not

recommended due to their low extinguishing eff ect).

The cell voltage must not exceed 4,21V per cell.

Excess charge and excessive currents destroy the cell.

The cell voltage must not be less than 3,3 V per cell.

    Deep discharge destroys the cell.

Use the cell (s) only in/with terminals/chargers with safety

   circuits.

Protect the cell(s) from mechanical stress (crushing, pressing,

bending, drilling). The housing of the cell(s) is made of hard

plastic and must not be damaged under any circumstances.

    Damage will destroy the cell(s).

DO NOT short-circuit! Always pay attention to correct polarity.

Protect the cell (s) from heat exposure above +60°C; mount at a

distance from hot parts. There is a risk of fi re or burns in the case

of damaged, opened, cut or leaking cells.

The contents of the cell (s) are harmful to skin and eyes.

After skin contact, rinse with plenty of water and remove wetted

   clothing.

After eye contact rinse with plenty of water and seek medical

   advice.

  Keep away from children.

CHARGE/DISCHARGE:

The maximum charging currents of 5A and the maximum discharge currents of 120A cont240A short (less than 1 second) must be

    adhered to.

Attention, this battery is-- factory fi tted with a Deans connection socket. This enables a max. discharge current of max. 60A duration and

120A short (less than one second). These currents must be maintained. If the maximum possible discharge current of 120A continuous or

240A short is to be taken from the battery, the battery must be provided with a suitable high-current connection.

  Fast charging is not possible.

The voltage must not exceed 4,21V per cell and must not fall below 3,3V per cell.

The cells may only be charged with a suitable charger with LiPo charging program.

The maximum temperature of the cell (s) must not 60°C.

STORAGE:

  Before storage, charge the cell (s) to approx. 65 % - 85 % (approx. 3,90 V per cell)

    - do not store the cell (s) in a discharged or fully charged state.

In case of longer storage time (>1 month) the state of charge must be checked occasionally.

The storage of deep-discharged cells leads to their destruction. The cell voltage must not fall below the above-mentioned minimum

permissible cell voltage. Ambient temperature 0°C to +45°C

Store this cell (s) only in fi reproof, non-fl ammable containers!

Recommended Accessories:

  •  Art.-No.: 153059 /

JAMARA X-Peak 80 Bal 2 V charger

ATTENTION!

Lithium-polymer batteries (hereinafter also called battery or

cell (s) have a very high energy density. In case of improper use, damage, deep

discharge or overcharge, the lithium-polymer battery may ignite and there is a

FIRE RISK!

Use this battery only in/with terminals with safety circuits.

As the user, you are responsible for the correct operation and

handling of the lithium-polymer batteries. Correct operation and

handling includes, in particular, assembly, charging, use and

even selection of the application area.

You as the user are liable for damage to the product itself or

caused by the product, provided that the damage is due to

incorrect operation or handling errors. Please read the user

manual carefully as it contains important information and

warnings.

Disposal restrictions

Batteries and accumulators must not be disposed of in domestic waste. You are obliged to dispose of batteries (seperate collection)

appropriately. After use you can return batteries free of charge to the retail store. As batteries contain substances that can be irritant,

can cause allergy and are highly reactive, separate collections and proper recycling is important to the environment and to your health.

If the batteries are marked with a chemical symbol Hg, Cd or Pb below the crossed-out waste bin on wheels it refers to that more than

0.0005% of mercury (Hg), more than 0.002% of cadmium (Cd) or more than 0.004% Lead (Pb) is included.
