Control pad functions
The control pad is used to control the various functions of the bike and display.
The control pad’s five buttons perform the following functions:
CONTROL PAD FUNCTIONS
Increase assist level (1–4)
Decrease assist level (4–1)
When bike is off, and battery is turned on:
Turn bike on
When bike is on, and in assist level

Set assist level 0
When bike is on, and in assist level

Turn bike off
Turn on display backlight, and the headlight and taillight if installed.
Change cyclecomputer display
The display backlight and any attached headlight/taillight is also controlled by the ambient light sensor; they will automatically
turn on in low light.
Troubleshooting
Error codes
SYSTEM ERROR CODES
In the event of a system error, these codes will appear on the display.

Motor internal error
These sensors are inside the drive unit. Contact your dealer.

BB sensor error

BB sensor short circuit

Cadence sensor error

Wheel speed sensor malfunction
Solution:
Check the alignment of the wheel speed sensor
and spoke magnet. The spoke magnet should pass by the sensor
closely as shown in the drawing on page 2.

Brake lever cut-off sensor malfunction
Solution:
Ask your dealer to check the function of your brakes. The sensors which cut power from the motor when the brakes
are applied may need service.

Throttle malfunction
Solution:
Ask your dealer to check the function of your throttle. The throttle connection may be loose, or the throttle itself
may need service.
