MAIN SUPPLY CONNECTION
Connect power cord A: The yellow-green cable must be connected to the
system’s ef
fi
cient ground socket. The remaining wires should be connected
to the power cord with a switch as close as possible to the cutting area so
that they can be disconnected quickly in the event of an emergency.
The capacity of the switch or fuses installed in series with the switch must be
equal to the current I
1
loading by the machine. The current I
1
can be deter-
mined by reading the technical data on the machine under the available
supply voltage U
1
. Any extension cables must be dimensioned according to
the maximum loading current I
1
.
4. GENERAL
DESCRIPTION
This plasma cutting machine is a constant direct current (DC) power source
designed for cutting electrically conductive materials (metals and alloys) by
the plasma arc process. Plasma gas is generated by using compressed air.
5. INSTALLATION
The machine must be supplied with clean and dry air. Set the air pressure to
5.5-6.0 bar and make sure it does not change during cutting. Poor and / or
inadequate air supply can cause problems with the quality of the cut and
the torch can be damaged.
